Overall Satisfaction with Smartsheet
We use it within our Marketing and Events operations to manage nationwide events that we put on. It allows us to coordinate resource management across several teams to make sure our assets are not double booked and are being fully utilizes. It also gives teams outside of our visibility into what events are happening when and where as well as whom they can reach out to for various integrations.
- Visibility across many working groups.
- Control access rights to different documents and create basic approval processes.
- It lacks full spreadsheet capabilities for advanced formulas and conditional formatting, etc.
- It does not have a ton of integration into other programs like Outlook/MS products.
- This has really opened up collaboration across teams. A lot less working in silos.
- It hasn't fully replaced any one tool so it means having to go to another place. Hopefully, we can eliminate a tool or two in the next six months.
It does some things better and other things worse than all these products but what it does the best is balancing features across all these tools. I think it's unrealistic to expect a usable product that offers all the features our end users would need since this is meant to be a cross-team application that serves so many different use-cases. It would be too confusing or overly customized to have a product that delivers on everything. We think of Smartsheet as more of a central base where we come together to manage events at a high level.
