Overall Satisfaction with Social Tables
Social Tables is used every day in our company. We work with many different vendors and companies and it is the one program we all share. It makes it easy to design setup for a venue and have everyone access it at once.
- Saving past venues so you don't have to upload them again.
- The scaling feature is awesome especially when you're trying to decide if a particular thing will fit in a certain space.
- Being able to work on a project while someone else is working in the same project is really convenient.
- Often you are unable to place objects exactly where you want them. It can be frustrating.
- Not being able to see or visualize items in 3D makes you have to use your imagination a lot. Example, if you add a column, it just shows up as a circle.
- It is tedious when you have to use the heading boxes to adjust sizes.
- We went from spending 20% of time making floor plans to spending 10% of time making floor plans which is amazing for us considering we handle from 20-60 events per week.
- Social tables has had some issues when updating and sometimes we have to close it down and re-open for it to function properly.
- It is easy to have more than one person hold an account within the company.
We use both programs. Vector works is a much more complex program and isn't always needed. If we're just doing a simple photo set up or DJ set up then we use Social Tables, however if we're using Truss and our LED wall and Stage Lighting, we use Vector works because you can see all the components in 3D and actually simulate lighting being on and off. Sales Team usually uses Social Tables for a general floor plan while the technicians and project managers typically use Vectorworks.
