Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds IP Address Manager (IPAM)
This module has really helped us in tracking devices on our different subnets, especially the ones that have static IP addresses. The setup is simple and the discovery is rather quick. I would recommend this module to others who need to have more visibility in a centralized location to view devices that are on your network.
- It integrates with DHCP to help identify end devices that have dynamically assigned IP addresses.
- The subnet scans are quick and efficient.
- It tracks statically assigned devices.
- The summary page layout could be more efficient.
- The network view does not display the correct number of available IP addresses for the subnet size.
- The request IP address functionality is not needed in our environment and it would be nice to turn the link off on the dashboard.
- It allows us to track endpoint devices better.
- It has helped the different teams in our IT organization to collaborate over end devices and IP addresses as needed.
- Management is happy with the efficiency it has brought to our IT department.
