Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds ipMonitor

We are using it within the IT office to monitor uptime of equipment and services. This has significantly helped to improve uptime and response time as needed. We are very happy with the product and would recommend it. I am sure there are other products that have more bells and whistles but SolarWinds ipMonitor does more than people think.
  • Ping monitor.
  • Service monitor.
  • Reporting. It makes it so much easier for board reports on uptime.
  • More complex monitoring.
  • Could be a touch easier to manage.
  • Reporting uptime.
  • Knowing what systems are behaving poorly.
  • Monitoring blade center and storage is critical and this makes sure it's running
We have not evaluated other products recently.
Good for monitoring pings, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS. The ping monitor has been critical for business operations. We can figure out very quickly if a building or floor is down. After ping, being able to monitor certain services has been helpful with different systems and deliverables for the IT team. Reporting is simple to configure and use effectively.
