Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds ipMonitor
We were looking for a little more out of our server monitoring and out wanted something off the shelf, and ipMonitor was a perfect fit. Easy server configuration, light weight, not overly demanding on resources and the support staff Solarwinds are great to deal with should you have an issue.
- Server monitoring.
- Notifications.
- Custom service monitoring.
- GUI is a little dated.
- Mapper is a little limited.
- Lack of dashboard customization compared to others.
- Alerts for help desk before phone calls come in.
- Show running up-time.
- Show drive space usage.
- Monitor custom services for legacy applications.
These are only a few of what we looked at, and at the end of the day it came down to cost, low footprint, and ease of use. I have suggested SolarWinds to anyone who asks what we use.
