Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
It is being used by our infrastructure team only. It is used for our back office and production networking equipment for performance monitoring/tuning.
- Easy to use interface.
- Relatively easy to set up SNMP traps, summary, and graphs.
- Good change management tool for network changes.
- Better wireless heat maps.
- Needs better Netmap services.
- Relatively expensive.
- Positively helped multiple issues with networking equipment that has saved us over $10k in consulting fees.
- Gave us capacity abilities to provide reporting to upper management when reaching bandwidth caps.
- Helped scope out data center needs.
This was a specific tool that was ideal at the time, but Solarwinds Network Performance Monitor had better utilities and was better expandable even though more expensive.
