Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Pingdom

I have integrated Pingdom with OpsGenie so that when the service which we are monitoring is down then it will create an alert which will create an alert in OpsGenie through SMS, email and call and user who receive notification of this alert will fix it when the application goes up an alert in both OpsGenie and Pingdom will automatically close.
  • Monitoring of application availability.
  • Monitoring of application disk space, CPU usage.
  • Integration with other tools like OpsGenie.
  • It is sometimes slow to generate alerts when events happen.
  • It monitors on limited metrics.
  • It is costly for small enterprises.
  • If it detects any application performance-related issue through monitoring tool then it will be fixed as soon as the user receives a call through OpsGenie.
  • It is somewhat costly for some small organizations so costing related issue may happen for these companies.
  • Limited monitoring metrics may not be suitable for some companies.
It is very suitable for our organization as metrics that it provides like disk space, CPU usage and availability of application, etc. And the main thing is it has good integration with OpsGenie and Jira Software so when our application is down or has any issue then we get a call and mail regarding the same so that issue is fixed faster and it helps in our business.

It is a good tool to monitor applications availability and some basic metrics, and it provides very good integration with other tools like OpsGenie through which you can increase the boundaries of features that Pingdom provides and it is a good tool to purchase if your use case is similar. I have been using this tool for more than 2 years and I like it.
