Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

It is being used across our IT organization for monitoring and predictive alerting. SolarWind's products, along with other products, are integrated into many different areas to help us manage network configuration management, application, and server monitoring.

Pros

  • Network configuration management.
  • Server monitoring.
  • Predictive analysis.

Cons

  • Out of the box monitoring structure example.
  • Process best practices would be helpful to get more use of the vast capabilities.
  • Alerting analysis.
  • Positive overall.
It's well suited in the environment if the proper process is in place. A very powerful tool that just lacks the process improvement that's out of the box.
