Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been using SolarWinds since I started working. I started with a company of 100 employees and my current company has more than 3000 employees. SolarWinds works just perfect. It works the same as for small network as a larger network.

Config push from SolarWinds Orion.

Netflow/SFlow can improvise.
The scripting for reports
Nodes and its related object specification

Return on Investment

SolarWinds always saves our time from proactive alerts and reports.
IPAM is good.
Netflow can be better.
Storage monitoring can be better.
Thawck resources can be improvised or needs to have more FAQs.

Alternatives Considered

PRTG Network Monitor

For a large scale network, PRTG is not feasible and not effective. SolarWinds has a much more robust feature set and it is good for large scale environment.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works best for SNMP monitoring and also configuration management. Also, reporting/alerts is better.

It sumps up all tools like NCP, NPM, node monitoring in one portal and that is the best .
