Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

We currently use this app exclusively in the infrastructure/networking department. It allows for real-time monitoring of assets and allows for historical data, which is useful to our team.
  • Real-time monitoring.
  • Historical data.
  • Ease of use, "ergonomic" in that it is easy to navigate, and intuitive.
  • Quick-start guides for new users would be great.
  • Positive: Less downtime through faster resolution.
  • Positive: Less manpower to monitor assets.
  • Positive: Streamlined/easy-to-use interface for a reduced learning curve.
It is strongly suited for asset monitoring by an infrastructure-oriented department. It's not recommended to casual or infrequent users.

Using SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

2 - Support of IT infrastructure, particularly availability.
2 - Anyone with a network background should be able to, at least, learn the product and run with it, particularly SNMP functions.
We are heavily invested in Solarwinds products for a reason. They are generally easy to setup and run with, requiring only some interfacing with support or help articles on rare occasions. They do what we bought them to do and we can't ask for more.
