SolarWinds is our go to platform for monitoring all live/dev and test systems. VM is a critical tool in keeping tabs on performance and planning

  • Ability to recover under utilised resources keeps expansion costs to what is actually needed and not what you guess will be needed
  • Speed to analyse issues shortened greatly
VCOPS but SolarWinds is more flexible and a lot cheaper

Ensuring you have space to grow is easily monitored with SVM

I wouldn't at this stage.

Fully evaluated Vcops and SolarWinds was by far the most comprehensive solution for our needs. I continue to monitor other products on ease of use and functionality but there not there yet
