Overall Satisfaction with SOLIDWORKS
SOLIDWORKS is being used in engineering department to create solid models for our product, parts and assembly drawings later generates from solid model. Both 3D models and 2D drawings are used by other departments, and some times shared with external supplier. In certain situation, 3D model will be analyzed using SOLIDWORKS add-ons, such as simulation.

- Sketch can be easier to use by adding more features
- Rotation by reference would be useful feature to be added

- Improve documentation so existing parts and assemblies are easier to find
- Engineering time spend increased by implementing more 3D designing
SOLIDWORKS is easier to use with just enough useful features to work with, the designing process is fluid like regular flow of design thinking. The other two software are very similar to SOLIDWORKS, Inventor and Solid Edge are more advanced in certain areas of application, while SOLIDWORKS is more cost effective.
