Overall Satisfaction with SplashLearn

SplashLearn is used by my Kindergartener and 5th grader to learn mathematics. The software addresses a linear, easy-to-follow method for learning core concepts in math by following along. I think the software does a good job making the math learning process fun. The scope of use includes math for kindergarten through fifth grade, and because it's been used in the intervening grades, first through fourth grade should also be thrown in.
  • SplashLearn makes the learning process easy and simple to follow in a linear fashion.
  • SplashLearn makes math more interesting than typical textbooks.
  • SplashLearn does a good job at gamifying the learning process.
  • Sometimes the games are a little more difficult to figure out than what one might expect.
  • I think SplashLearn could add in social aspects so that others could be part of the gamification process.
  • I think SplashLearn could also offer the dry learning process in conjunction with the gamification process. Games are fun, but not everyone is a compete gaming learner.
  • Mastery of mathematics
  • Making the learning process of math more fun.
  • The ability to learn concepts taught in class at home.
  • I think SplashLearn has increased the speed at which my children learn mathematics, and thereby has been a positive ROI.
  • I think SplashLearn has improved my kids' desire to learn mathematics and as such has had a positive ROI.
  • I think SplashLearn has been a negative ROI at times because it shifts attention from learning the core aspects of mathematics to playing games. My kids love to play games, but sometimes it doesn't work to play them all the time in order to learn the material.
The other products we have tried that don't show up on your list of reviewable products are Imagine Learning and Educa. I think these two tend to be less good at the gamification process and focus more on the administrative part of learning, although the three products attempt to accomplish the same goal. SplashLearn, I think, is much better at creating desire to learn the material.

I think SplashLearn is best suited for students that learn best through the gamification process. The math games are quite good and I can see why many parents/school districts opt for incorporating the gamification process into the math learning process. SplashLearn is well-suited for beginners to advanced elementary students wanting to improve their math skills.
