Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop
Splashtop remote access is used extensively for remote work while outside the office. Any software on your computer can be used on your mobile. My company deals with structural analysis and design, we may get a question from a contractor regarding structural beam sizes on site, and we can perform a quick analysis during the site visit.
Pros
- Remote access to PC.
- Video streaming.
- Fast stream input latency.
Cons
- Reconnecting to pc's can be improved.
- On screen buttons can be improved.
- Mouse/peripherals compatibility on mobile.
- When project deadlines are due, it can minimize dead (no-work) time.
I cannot speak for how secure it is since I'm not sure, but, in my experience, I haven't been compromised as far as confidential information while using Splashtop.
