Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop

Splashtop is used by the bookkeeper to transfer reports and to view sales data programs to offsite computers. Without this tool there would be lots of printing and postage or mileage to travel to the offsite locations to deliver and retrieve the information.

Pros

Cons

  • so far it's doing everything I need it to do!
  • saved me hundreds of miles of travel to remote client locations
  • saved me dozens of hours of travel time and on site work hours
  • saved me and my clients hundreds of dollars in postage and printing costs
  • my return on investment was within 1 month
  • the convenience is priceless!
I have not had to use Splashtop support. It installed easily, configured easily, and I've not had any problems during the 10 months I've been using it. They are excellent at notifying users of upgrades, maintenance, and any other reasons the software may not be functional. I'm very grateful to have found a solution that has worked flawlessly the past 10 months!
Splashtop has done a fantastic job of providing a secure remote access and support solution. I have not had any reason to question the security of this solution. Set up is easy to configure. Two factor authentication and device verification are quick and easy to get completed. I highly recommend this product!
Onboarding was incredibly easy. I was up and running in less than 30 minutes. I was surprised by how simple it was - I'm not an IT expert. The directions provided all the details necessary to complete the set up without any additional support help for Splashtop tech support specialists.

Splashtop is well suited for data transfer and file viewing in areas with slower internet speeds. Because my clients are in rural areas, the internet service is much slower. It's not well suited to actually work on the remote computer. It takes massive amounts of time to do any data entry with a slow connection. I've not used it with fast internet speeds but expect it would preform well if data entry was required.
