Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
We use it to allow our employees to remotely access and control their work computers when they are working remotely at their home offices. Remote printing is also frequently used. We also use it, as needed, to access our associate's computer to help with technical support including software updates, connectivity issues, and related matters.
- Easy to deploy and use with robust setting options from which to choose.
- Remote printing is a key benefit to print important documents at home office while remotely connected to work computer.
- Mobile application has also proven to be helpful when access to work computer is needed when not at the work office or home office.
- Being able to scroll through Excel spreadsheets and other software program with forms/tables needing scrolling to get to a certain location can be a challenge when remotely accessing a work computer with the mobile app. It is very hard to control the slide bar or Up/Down controls in these situations.
- We have experienced a few issues of a remote computer locking up during, and after, remote access to it even though there are no setting options which would cause such a lockup. In those situations, the remote computer has to be restarted after the remote session.
- It could be helpful if video chats would be enabled within Splashtop rather than having to turn on Teams / Zoom / etc to video chat with user.
- Positive: Ability to quickly resolve remote IT support issues.
- Positive: Ability to remotely gain access to work computer from home office or mobile app.
- Positive: Very affordable.
We are happy and content with how Splashtop meets our needs. Otherwise, we would not use it!
As I recall, setting up Splashtop on our main computers was easy but a bit of a challenge to set up the streamer on the computers of a few non-techy type associates. But we got it done and learned how to more efficiently do so as our experience level progressed.
Yes - Free version of a program whose brand I do not wish to promote because of a very bad experience we had with it giving access to hackers who somehow signed in without our employee knowing so.
