Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
We use Splashtop to support our customer base. Customer machines are permanently available to us 247 in the event of problems detected by our monitoring. Additionally we allow some customers access to their machines via Splashtop for remote video editing and this has been vital with increased remote working.
Pros
- It's very easy to deploy. This can be by customer or by us with prebuilt images.
- It has remarkabl;y low latency. This allows video editing including multi screen to take place.
- SOS is a life saver. This bolt on allows us to send a link to anyone for a temporary connection to a laptop or mobile for configuration. Perfect for the personal laptop in use at home that we need to set up but wont have on our support system 247
- Management is simple and well laid out. Adding a client to view specific machines in thier office is quick and easy and obvious.
Cons
- We would like even better latency. Teradici is the standard here but works very differently. We'd love to see Splashtop compete
- More endpoint control possibilities, perhaps integrating with Sophos?
- Allows any agent anywhere to support clients - vital in these remote working times.
Security is vital for the television industry these days. Our view is that technically Splashtop causes less concern than human issues such as shared logons, over view of screens, poor passwords etc.
It was very easy. We moved from Teamviewer and had everything up and running within 24 hours. Any queries we had were mostly solved by experimentation - yes you could do that.
Yes - Teamviewer. Expensive, clunky, non responsive.
