Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise
I currently use Softdent from my phone and laptop to access needed patient and charting info while I am not in the office. This enables me to send needed referrals and view other items when I am not in the office. I am also able to create business and accounting reports that help me with my taxes and collections projections.
Pros
- Seamless Integration
- Easy to Use
- User Friendly
- Remote access between Mac, PC, and iPhone
Cons
- Slow to load on ocassion
- Unable to restart computer remotely, can only wake from sleep or lock screen
- Very Wifi/internet dependent and doesn't work as well with a weaker signal
- I can easily access information from home that I would otherwise have to go into the office to view.
- I can take care of and catch up on work at home and not get farther behind, increasing my stress for the next day.
- I have been able to more easily send and receive documents and add them to patient records without having to be at the office.
I like how customizable Splashtop is regarding login options, such as the Face ID for iPhone and Touch ID for laptops and iPad. I do feel that it is very secure. The only place where I could make a comment regarding security is the fact that the computer you are remoting into must be either in sleep mode or locked in order to gain access. I understand that logistically there may not be a way to access a computer that is not powered on, but needing to have to a computer on at all times could be a concern in some situations.
I was able to get up and running very quickly with the help of my IT person. I must say that when I decided to use Splashtop on my phone and iPad, I was able to quickly download the apps and easily set them up myself.
