Overall Satisfaction with Splashtop Enterprise

Splashtop remote access is used by a variety of our organization's central office staff, including myself. When COVID forced our office to work remotely, our staff needed something quick and easily deployable for them to access their workstations. In addition to remote access, I use Splashtop SOS Support and it has been invaluable to me. We have a significant number of staff who are not digital natives and don't always have the vocabulary to describe their issues over the phone. So with SOS, I've often helped out staff remotely, and being able to see and control their screen is a deal sealer, for me!
  • Splashtop has a very streamlined user interface. There are enough options to make it pretty robust, but they are intuitive, so all of our users can get familiar with the screen controls, pretty quickly.
  • One of the things I appreciate about SOS support is the ease with which the user ( the person I'm remotely supporting) can install the client on their computer. The editable message that can be emailed is very useful, and I like that I can determine whether I'd like to remote in with admin privileges or not.
  • from an administrative standpoint, I like the remote management of users and verified computers, for Splashtop use. It is valuable to be able to see a broad view of all the users that have credentials and to what machines they have access to.
  • An area for improvement would be remote sound integration. The option to hear sound from the remote device is there but is extremely unreliable
  • At times, it can be difficult for users to navigate remoting from a 2 monitor setup, to a 2 monitor setup. That functionality could be more intuitive
  • Splashtop has been all positive in its ROI as it has allowed some of our staff to work from home, despite the weather, or other situations. It allows us to not have to disrupt the various tasks that staff is working on in their depts.
I've not really had any issues that I've reached out to Splashtop, about. Anything that I've had has either been solvable on my own or not significant enough to reach out to Splashtop about.
This solution I find to be secure. I am happy to see that 2-Factor authentication is offered, as I will be moving users to that standard, soon.
I began the usage of Splashtop with just one employee, initially. She had had knee surgery but had such an important job that she needed to work from home. Getting her set up was very smooth. Later, when COVID-19 affected our organization I had to add additional accounts. That process was smooth as well, and I was able to outfit users in need of remote access, in a pretty quick and orderly manner.

Splashtop is great for a relatively quick and minimal way for staff to do remote work. The setup is quick and requires minimal installation. When paired with a support desk person who uses SOS, a Splashtop instance can be deployed remotely onto the users at home computer, making setup even easier. If you have an environment that is not robust enough to deploy or support VPN tunnels, etc. Splashtop is a perfect tool for the Tech dept.
