Overall Satisfaction with Retrace

We are using Stackify Retrace every time we have to capture critical details about what our Ruby or Python code is doing. The main issue solved for us by Retrace is the fact that it enables us to track custom methods in our code and also that it supports non web applications.
  • It combines code profiling with application logger.
  • It is safe for production usage.
  • No native support for Google Cloud.
  • Neo4j integration is not straight forward.
  • Insight into serializing of HTTP responses and request queuing improved performance of our code.
  • Great support for Ruby and Python enabled us to improve time-to-market lead time.
Stackify Retrace really shines when it comes to integrating logging management with lightweight code profiling functionality, which is not possible if using other APM platforms. Also the list of frameworks that are automatically supported by Retrace is significantly bigger when compared to its direct competitors. Moreover, the pricing model with cost per server works really well for our products.
Submitting a ticket to Stackify Retrace support team is very easy and the response is always within a few hours. In case of some serious problems they are able to provide assistance coming directly from one of their developers what decreases significantly the amount of time needed to figure out what is causing the issue.

Stackify Retrace is a perfect fit in case your application executes multiple external HTTP requests towards SOAP or REST web services and you need to track and log these calls. It works really well if your code is deployed on Azure or Amazon Web Services cloud platform, however it will not work if you are using Google Cloud.
