Overall Satisfaction with StreamShark Live Streaming Platform
We use StreamShark primarily as a video streaming platform for live events. It is used across the organization for staff meetings, training, community/industry events, etc. StreamShark addresses the following challenges:
- Localized (within Australia) ingestion and redistribution of live video streams.
- Protection of video streams through integration with SSO.
- Localized media ingestion, encode, redistribution.
- Multiple homepages for channels e.g. one for public and one for internal.
- Facilitates engaging communication with staff and external parties.
The workflow and encode/redistribution is much better in StreamShark. StreamShark is better suited as part of a live video event where the event is run by a production team. The Microsoft solution is better integrated with MS Teams, Yammer, etc. This does make the MS solution a little more accessible to staff with no production experience. Microsoft also offers this service as part of an enterprise Office365 subscription.
