Overall Satisfaction with Submittable

I manage the grant process and development of the forms, projects, and flow. Submittable helps me keep the process moving and makes everyone in the process accountable for their respectable stage. There is so much value when we have all of the communication and files in one place for point of reference.
  • Once the grant process is established, designing the forms are fairly intuitive.
  • Customer Support is responsive. If one individual doesn't know the answer, they reach out to their team.
  • One-stop-shop for grantees and grantors. Great storage area for all documents and email communications, making it easier to track the progress of submissions.
  • Under Edit Projects/Review Workflow, can you enable users to re-order the stages without having to delete and re-type? I have a long workflow in which Submittable is not currently user-friendly to edit the order of the stages.
  • Simplify the process to add "scoring" to questions that were not originally created with it, especially when you're in the process of grants that have already been submitted.
  • Can the step of moving the stage (in header) be eliminated after a reviewer completes their review? We've encountered individuals completing their review, but they forget to move the stage along, resulting in holding up the process in a particular stage?
  • Review process is trackable
  • Centralized hub of all data pertaining to each grant
Some elements of Submittable are intuitive. However, I have been confronted with bumps in the road that stump your Customer Support team. The issues that I raised earlier in my responses are real issues that would be helpful to overcome with some solutions.
We're still new at using Submittable with our awardees; however, I believe that using Submittable provides us with more information, building on our relationships with our grantees.
We have not used any other product but are quite pleased with Submittable at this time.

I listed some of Submittable's benefits and some of its shortcomings already. I have found that over time and use, the pros and cons of the software are revealed. We haven't used reporting as much thus far, but the standard and advanced reporting tend to be rather limited. It would be helpful to be able to run reports and send them directly from Submittable rather than having to use mail merge via Word.
