Overall Satisfaction with Tableau Online

[Tableau Online is used for] reporting on data and analytics. Tableau [Online] allows for deep analysis while creating some easy to read, not intimidating reports. This software helps take data and tell a story. This helps justify business decisions and take a deeper look and the success and impacts of projects and programs. This also helps analyze financial impacts.
  • Reporting
  • Data analysis
  • Understanding the story behind data
  • Cost
  • Integration with other softwares
  • Ease of use, it can look intimidating
  • Making better, data based decisions
  • Custom reporting is a breeze
  • Understanding data is now easier
More focused on reporting and data compilation. The visualization piece works but it not the strongest aspect. Some of the reporting on Tableau [Online] can be clunky, such as auto refreshing not working. For internal use to understand, report on, and use data but those who are familiar with it this software rocks. If I was making this public I'd use something prettier.

Do you think Tableau Online delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Tableau Online's feature set?

Yes

Did Tableau Online live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Tableau Online go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Tableau Online again?

Yes

Works good online. No issues or reason to use offline version based on my needs. Moving to the cloud has made working within the Microsoft ecosystem much more seamless and enjoyable. Heavy users may find some reasons the offline version works better, similar to the experience I've has with excel.
Not sure. Our IT Department handles troubleshooting with the vendor. I dont have any experience working with their support team. From my experience support is not often needed and when feature questions arise YouTube is full of tutorials and how to info. Since it's so widely used it's easy to find support via google.
Easily customize and report on large data sets [with Tableau Online]. This is great for analyzing data and formulating a story to provide to decision makers. This does not make the data super visually appealing. I'd like to power BI, ArcGIS online/Survey123, or some other visualization software before turning it loose to the public.
