Overall Satisfaction with Taleo
Used for applicant tracking, sourcing, database, interviewing, emailing and hiring of the candidates. Also, presenting profiles to the hiring managers.
Taleo is also a database from which reports can be derived for numerous applicants, interviews, and ultimately hires. It is great for sourcing candidates: I use it to look up old requisitions for the same job type and look at former candidates. It is good for tracking where all my candidates are in the process so that my bosses can see and evaluate. It makes my job easier. The resume matching functionality could be better, but is not bad.

- Applicant tracking of where the candidate is in the process.
- As a repository of former candidates as potential candidates for new positions.
- To communicate with both candidates and hiring managers.
- Being able to move candidates new and old to new requisition for further consideration.
- I would like it to have stronger resume matching capabilities, right now it seems to gather everything in sight. Needs to differentiate better.
- If would be helpful if there were a quick chart tab where you could take an instant snapshot of your desktop and where all your in-process candidates are displayed in a chart of some sort.
- Reveting could be easier as well.
- Transferring resources from one area to other area of CSC, for example, from Federal to commercial.
- Employees can go from one candidate or req with complete ease.
- Searching old reqs is my favorite capability for searching candidates.
I have used Taleo here at CSC and at Accenture. I don't remember how bad other product were. I just know I like the ease of use of Taleo.
I believe the one I used at BearingPoint, Taleo eventually bought. I was not involved in vendor selection, but I have been asked to sit on committees/groups to discuss how it can be improved.
