Overall Satisfaction with Tealium Tag Management Suite
We currently use Tealium on our Retail US Website. Our division manages the site, and therefore we get any requests for new tags. As of right now all new tags are being implemented via Tealium. It allows us to dynamically add or modify tags based on changing business needs, without having to involve our outside developers.
- Fast tag implementation. Most tags can be implemented in a QA/Test environment within a few minutes for testing, and published to production in the same amount of time.
- Great variety of pre-built tags. Very seldom to I have to ask for a new tag to be set up in the library.
- Highly customizable. Adding new custom actions, such as Google Analytics actions, is usually a simple copy-and-paste.
- Publishing to different environments (QA, Test, production, etc) can get confusing when you're testing multiple new tags at once. I'd like to see a more tag-centric publishing scheme, vs. a version-centric publishing scheme. It's really easy to overwrite changes in one version or publish changes to the wrong environment accidentally.
- We have saved countless hours of development time implementing new vendors and tags.
- We are usually able to receive a request and publish it for testing within 24 hours, which far surpasses the normal turnaround time if we were to go through developers.
- Turning off tags is just as easy as implementing them.
