Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With the numerous applications our business uses on a daily basis, Okta helps streamline the accessibility to these applications and secures logins in order for us to work faster and securely. There are upwards of 30 applications that we use Okta SSO for, and without it there would be constant password resets and helpdesk tickets around accessibility to these applications, which is ideal for our internal IT team.

While I wasn't involved in the official purchasing process of Okta, I would imagine that the scalability that Okta provides and usability would be a big differentiator in whether you were to utilize Okta over Azure AD for SSO purposes across a your user base.

If your organization uses a number of different applications to support your business and need to streamline your users accessibility to these applications in a secure manner, then Okta would be a terrific addition to your tech stack. The solution does a great job of making SSO easy to use and provides customized homepages to give users the ability to pick choose what apps should be available to them at just a couple of clicks at the button.
