Pros
- Fast and reliable connection & setup between platforms.
- Low skill requirement for the development of a migration, integration, or replication map.
- The Scribe Online platform has stability, availability, and performance.
Cons
- (Scribe Online)Troubleshooting and debugging require more features and decent logging of error messages.
- (Scribe Online)Advanced technical Scribe users expect more functions and tools for complex integrations.
- Often when struggling with complex integrations, the troubleshooting & debugging features were insufficient and caused project development to grow way overdue.
Scribe is better suited for high volume data integration, migration, or replication, and provides better connectivity to Source/Target the most other integration products. Lead development time is much less with Scribe than other products if the integration project does not reach a certain level of complexity. Monitoring of Scribe is basic out of the box, which is sufficient for low complexity projects, but lacks advanced configurability for more complex projects.
- Online training
- Self-taught
Online training was good as a start up to get familiar with the Scribe platform.
The Scribe manual was more then sufficient to assist with integration process development. We learned a lot with a self-taught trial and error approach. Wherever we were completely stuck, the Scribe support team was quick to provide assistance.
