Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Data Virtualization

TIBCO Data Virtualization is primarily used by our systems engineering and analyst team which helps cater to the needs of many other teams in the organization. This type of technology helps us avoid duplication issues in our systems and avoids redundancy. You can easily connect to different types of data sources and run comparison analysis which provides you valuable insights into the data.
  • De-duplication.
  • You can run analysis from different data sources.
  • Good query optimization algorithms are available to use.
  • UI feels a little outdated.
  • Doesn't do good version management and sometimes collaboration with a bigger team becomes difficult as we cannot use it with GitHub.
  • Has avoided duplication of data.
  • Improved efficiency.
TIBCO Data Virtualization was more robust with an array of features that other tools did not have. Working with the team was easy and the support was very responsive.
Good support and helpful!
  • Data quality and duplication problems.
  • Time spent by analysts in fixing data was a lot.
  • Confidence improved after having better data.
This type of solution does not replace the use of having a Data Warehouse but works well in conjunction with it.
Improved Data Quality and better confidence on data are the major benefits.

Would you buy TIBCO Data Virtualization again?

TIBCO Data Virtualization works well to get data in one place from different types of sources (queries, tables, etc.). You should look to avoid too much business logic to the data. It should not be considered as something that can replace a Data Warehouse.
