Overall Satisfaction with Spotfire

We are currently using Spotfire in life sciences, energy, banking and retail domain and it has always given the best results to the business users.
  • Data Loading from multiple datasources and data connectors especially Information Links.
  • Drill Down, Sharing and collaborating analysis.
  • Support to IronPython, Statistical programming like R-Script, S+, MATLAB and analytical cababilities
  • GeoMapping - WMS layes, TMS Layers, Recommendation Engine, Theme based dashboarding
  • User Interface can be improved.
  • Scope to add new charts like area chart, bubble chart.
Spotfire is widely used in the company across all the domains and used by thousands of users.
Spotfire can connect with most of the data sources, data connectors and gives best results to users.
Spotfire has good collaboration capabilities using the collaboration panel and analysis can be exported in different formats like PDF, Power Point, HTML etc.

Recommended visualizations is one the best feature in Spotfire, this helps those people who are not sure which visual will be best to present data. Here, you have to select the columns which you want to analyze, and Spotfire's recommendation engine will check and show you some excellent visualizations which you can load into your Spotfire analysis file.
When you work on your data and suddenly you realize that it's not up to your expectations i.e it contains errors, not properly formatted, not clean. So, if you have Spotfire then you can do all this very quickly with the Spotfire's data wrangling capabilities.
If you want to do statistical analysis, predictive analytics then you can use the R engine to do all this in your Spotfire analyst.
Spotfire gives a very rich and interactive interface for Map Chart using different types of mapping layers like WMS(Web Map Service) and recently included TMS(Tile Map Service). These helps to bring different types of background layers on the existing map chart for any region to show relevant information to the users.

The Spotfire support is quite responsive on the support requests but sometimes the issues(requirements) can't be achieved as those are not available in Spotfire and there is no out of box solution so they ask to raise enhancement request. Also, Spotfire community play a very important role by encouraging users to post their doubts and queries and other users can reply to them.
