Overall Satisfaction with TIBCO Data Science (including Team Studio and Statistica)
Whole lab, for quick and dirty stats and where researchers are too lazy to use R.
- Newbies handly for stats : click and go learning curve.
- Quick and fast cut and past data in spreadsheets over laptops windows.
- Good documentation and tutorials for fast and autonomous learning.
- Student friendly.
- License cost : Data Science fights again R/RStudio, which are both opensource with strong support.
- R cost us 3-5k€, with training more. If we take license/maintenance into account, Data Science license is low cost and good for those taking 'first steps' in statistics, or for students entering labs with little knowledge of R, enabling them to immediately produce 'low grade' studies.
