Overall Satisfaction with Tresorit
Tresorit is being used across the entire organization. As a venture fund, we need to store copies of data rooms we review securely. We also have internal documents and metrics we need to keep securely stored, as well as our Limited Partner data. Furthermore, we required independence from Google and other large file storage organizations. We had a bad experience with Google, there was an issue with a secure key on Google Domains, so Google just turned off our entire account, which led to no access to Drive, Calendar, Email, and other services. With limited to no support, and lacking security options, we found most alternatives to Tresorit unacceptable.
- Support
- Secure Storage
- Shared Folders with outside guests, to collaborate with them (collect uploads).
- Removal of data-cap on file size, and right now, there is one, and it's an issue when storing rich media (such as startup pitch videos, etc.).
- Ensures our business is able to remain operational.
- Provides comfort on data security and compliance.
Secure and independently operated. We selected Tresorit for its secure file storage capabilities that the other services (except SpiderOak) did not provide. Tresorit is a zero-knowledge system, which gives us a lot of comforts when it comes to secure data storage. SpiderOak was a close alternative, but they have been in continuous development to provide competitive features, and still haven't provided what we needed (SpiderOak has promised features for several years at this point).
