TriNet - A viable option
Overall Satisfaction with TriNet
As a small business consulting business it was difficult finding the level of insurance products that we have been use to coming out of the corporate environment. We found the cost of doing business with TriNet was worth all the benefits that we needed along with the processing of our payroll and providing us with Workers Compensation. We have been consulting other business owners for more than 25 years to use the services of a PEO and TriNet has a great platform for businesses that allow you to customize your options based on your organizations size.
Pros
- TriNet is the only PEO that recognizes the growth patterns of smaller companies. They provide an accessible services and benefits platform to the entrepreneur with a start up organization. This type of offering will provide a small business the necessary tools to attract and retain quality employees
- The technology makes it easy to change your personal information or manage your employees data in order to process payroll
- Their HR compliance tools are very informative and the notifications of law changes are very beneficial
Cons
- The client implementation process is probably the most tedious and time consuming I have been a part of. For our company and others that I have referred to TriNet the implementation process was difficult. Multiple conference calls at an hour each takes up a lot of time. I feel their process can be streamlined into one call possibly two.
- During open enrollment there seems to be a lot of communication that did not apply to our company and was confusing. Several messages were worded in a way that made me feel like I had missed something and was in jeopardy of losing my coverage. I must have sent my account manager half dozen messages asking him if we needed to address a particular email. He was great and responded quickly however it was frustrating.
- For our small business it all came down to the access to fortune 500 benefits that we were accustomed to. As mentioned previously it is worth the admin fee for us to have access to the benefits and to have payroll and work comp all combined in one payment.
- It is very simple to budget. We know that we have to have x amount ready on pay day and that covers payroll, taxes, workers comp and all the benefits we chose.
- Piece of mind is key for us. I know all is taken care of and that is what we have been consulting others to take advantage of for years.
- CoAdvantage and ADP TotalSource
Each company has their unique differences with their benefit programs and how they assess each client. TriNet is the only one that will work with the small professional office such as ours. I feel TriNet really needs to streamline their enrollment process and make it much easier. There are a lot of redundant processes in my opinion and it takes a larger client too long to get enrolled.
