Overall Satisfaction with TriNet

Being used by our U.S. and Puerto Rico locations - it allows for us to easily manage remote workers in many states - they take on the heavy admin lifting for us.
  • Set up new states
  • Their platform and mobile app
  • Maintaining compliance
  • Easy payroll process
  • Educated support for us to make informed decisions.
  • Lack of access or visibility to processes with their 3rd parties impacting our employees, disability, life insurance and more.
  • Benefits are not customizable enough to meet the needs of our organization -the benefits process in general.
This changed in October 2020. Before, the service model was a disaster, and while improvements were made, they were not fast enough and they didn't end up changing our sentiments towards TriNet.
The platform and its sub-features work. The workforce analytics and TriNet building custom reports that are unreliable is a problem area.
  • TriNet initially supported us seamlessly and fit our needs until we reach about 175 employees. Then the needs of our business required more flexibility which TriNet could not provide. We are almost 450 employees now.
  • Payroll has always been a great motivator for us to be on TriNet.
  • Our internal auditors cannot get the reports or appropriate info from TriNet.
We have not used support from TriNet around COVID, aside from a few notices about changes - we managed this internally only.

Do you think TriNet delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with TriNet's feature set?

Yes

Did TriNet live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of TriNet go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy TriNet again?

No

None, we are exploring leaving the PEO model.
I would have given TriNet a 10/10 years 2015-2018. 2019-present they have changed and caused our business operations to suffer. Our size has grown, and maybe TriNet should have a limit on client size if they cannot properly support or make client growth effective.
