Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

We were in the market looking for an off-the-shelf job scraping tool for our website. I was tasked with finding the best option that met our needs so I used TrustRadius to compare the options that were available to us. We came across a number of tools that we were able to compare in terms of costs, reviews and ratings.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
The product ratings and reviews were a huge help. It helped us understand what people thought about the products we were looking into and how they had performed for our peers in similar or different industries. Looking into how user- and developer-friendly the tools were helped us come up with our shortlist of top choices.
Reviews in industries as close to the one I work with are the most useful as it validates our use case for picking a particular tool. Ratings from reviews are quite helpful as well. I usually keep an eye out for tools that have a larger number of total as well as favorable reviews to build a case for it.
Seeing favorable reviews did help us shortlist what options would be ideal for our use case. Although price is the ultimate deciding factor, looking into what worked well for others and having that pre-existing expectation of how our experience would play out definitely helped.
  • The reviews
  • The ability to view competing products of interest
  • The product ratings
  • A bigger database of products
  • More user outreach to get more reviews
  • The ability to contact previous users of a product for a testimonial
We used the actual websites of the products that we were researching to evaluate the product. We also used other resources such as Getapp.com, the tool's Twitter page and LinkedIn to review the stability of the company and keep an eye out for complaints from current users. Viewing customer tweets and posts about the product definitely helps us gain a better picture of how good the tool really is.
The design in general was better than sites like Getapp.com. It would have definitely been nice to view more reviews for newer products, however, thats an entirely understandable problem to have considering said product hasn't been in the market for long.
It's simple to use and helps in the research and information gathering process. Using TrustRadius helped us review what options were available to us quickly, by showing us not only the tools we were interested in but competitor products that were out there that we should be considering too. It saved us a lot of time in terms of conducting individual research studies on each tool and gave us a summarized snapshot of which product would best fit our needs.
