Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

I was researching business software that we wanted to implement in our company for use in streamlining our human resource processes and policies and help mostly in payroll management, talent management, employees remuneration, and also in ensuring that we comply with the statutory regulation involving human resource management. As an employee in the HR department I was staked with the role of doing the research and giving a report to the board on the various available HR softwares, listing their pros and cons, pricing, mode of deployment, and general review concerning their suitability.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
  • To find evidence to support my recommendation to colleagues or my client
I accomplished my goal after using TrustRadius and reading through the reviews written on the various HR softwares available in the market. The features and data that I found helpful mostly included pros and cons and recommendations to other prospective users, as those questions highlighted the bad and the good of the software and also required the user reviewing the product to be bold enough to state whether he/she can recommend the software to another. This part helped gauge the suitability of each software to our cause.
What I look for in reviews is the genuineness of the reviewer who has used the software. I like reviews where the reviewer is candid and gives everything including the negative points without sugarcoating anything. Such reviews are very informative and give the buyer of the software a prior sense of what to expect from the software.
The value of having reviews during the buying process is that you can never make a bad decision and invest on a product only to realize later that you wasted the company funds and what you acquired cannot help you. Having access to reviews helped me avoid such pitfalls.
  • Informative and complete reviews
  • Credible reviews
  • Ease of navigation
  • Advertise TrustRadius more to increase its visibility and market penetration.
  • Include pricing quotation and cost of the software being reviewed in the review.
  • I think those are some of the improvement areas, otherwise it's reliable.
Mostly the other source of information that I used is each vendor website concerning their product, especially the overview and the release notes that are given by every vendor. However, these websites only had the positive information about their product and did not give the cons. That is where I turned to TrustRadius, in order to get the story from both sides - the positive and negative.
I did not use other review sites. I used TrustRadius and the websites and blogs of each software vendor, and my experience there was that each vendor gave the overview of their products but did not highlight the challenges and other cons that arise from their product. It's in this area that TrustRadius stood out since it gave all the information about the product, both positive and negative.
The reviews on TrustRadius are reviewed and verified to ensure that they are of high quality and to ascertain that the reviewer has actually used that product and it's not lies that are being peddled. With these standards, what you are reading is credible information and you won't regret acquiring the software.
