Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

I was looking for competitors to a survey solution. We currently use an organization-wide tool called Qualtrics, which I have been asked to evaluate alternatives too. I did a quick Google search and was redirected to Trust Radius. My role in the buying process is the influencer/decision maker. I'm not the purchaser, but I do have significant (if not final) authority on this type of tool for our company.
  • To understand my options (i.e. build my short list or long list)
  • To compare products
I liked the star rating (it was easy for me to determine which companies I wanted to click), and I clicked on on companies with high ratings. I didn't need to waste my time on ones with 2 stars for instance. I also read through the first 4-ish reviews to see what people were saying. I loved the pros and cons section. I don't think there was a 'comparison' tool, that might have been nice, but I was at least able to look at a few companies in less than 15 minutes and compare them in my mind.
I looked for someone who described needing the same features as I do and had a coherent opinion (no typos, poor sentences, etc.). I also looked for thoroughness in their answers and at least ONE suggestion for improvement. If they have an all positive, super happy, etc. review, it makes me doubt it. There's got to be SOMETHING that that company or product can do better. I kind of roll my eyes at these. I also like reviews that have had some actual time with the product. I don't want your opinion on day 2 or after 5 minutes with it.
Incredibly valuable during the evaluation process. I look on vendor websites, but I KNOW it's mostly marketing fluff and I want to hear from real users who are trying to solve real problems with the tool. It improved my experience, I guess? I haven't made the decision yet, just kind of dipping my toe into the water of researching, I haven't REALLY dug in yet, but was nice to see what I should focus my time on verses what I can forget about (based on reviews).
  • I liked the star rating, easy to see what to click to dig into
  • I liked the pros and cons section, it was a quick way to see what that person thought without reading their entire paragraph of text
  • I know it's helpful, but some of the reviews were too long! I didn't have time in my initial look to read paragraphs and paragraphs
  • There are more filters than I need on each listing, like what is 'last updated'? It already has the date on each one, it seems unnecessary
I haven't used other sources yet, except for a quick google search. That gave me a kind of list of competitors, but the only one I really clicked on was Trust Radius. I spent about 15 minutes here, then checked out some info on a vendor site (I had heard of them before, but they seemed to have an 'enterprise' offering, which I heard about from a review on here) but it ended up not being what we needed. Then, I got back to another task. I didn't check any other review sites, so not sure how they could compare. I could check G2 Crowd because I know they offer something similar, but I haven't yet.
I have used G2 Crowd for other projects, but not for this one, so I can only compare the site and not the 'results' I got from searching. Honestly, from what I remember, it seems very similar. Very reputable reviews, lots of detail, 'business-people' focused, etc. The branding on Trust Radius is very good, I like the colors and the setup. I do like the graph/trusty map thing, it was nice to see the logos and have the option to hover over the name and even the star rating so I could find out more.
There seems to be a lot of good things about it, like the details and star ratings at-a-glance. However, there are also some cons too. It's heavy, and the filters are not as useful for me. I do like that it's free and that I don't have to submit a review to read what others said (like some other sites where you have to contribute to use). I don't have any tips, just make sure to read lots of reviews? Seems pretty intuitive to use.
