Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

We were looking for a more robust replacement to our existing customer facing chat client that would be used to greet prospects visiting our website and providing a chat support option in our application. Naturally I used TrustRadius as a source to gauge which solution would be best to pick for our needs. Thanks to TrustRadius' extensive collection of user reviews we were able to select the app that best fit our needs.

  • Honest feedback we can lean on to help clear blind spots in our planning and review process
  • Massive database of apps that we can review and compare
  • Video content would be nice to have
  • More filtering options like rank based on cost and rating
  • No other cons, this site is great
On average most vendors are transparent about pricing until you get up to the "enterprise" tier, which is common for SaaS apps that we rely on. When pricing wasn't open shared either through TrustRadius or on their website, we were immediately suspicious that it would be outside of our budget and would look to other vendors whose pricing fell in line with our budget.
We have our own app listed on G2 and Capterra and find both and TrustRadius to be comparable. I personally prefer TrustRadius' layout and functionality to G2 and Capterra, but all these platforms have their value.
We did not use any of these metrics. We value real user feedback coming from people operating in a similar industry as us.
Product scores certainly have a heavy influence at the beginning of our culling process. We tend to start by looking at a pool of apps in a given space, then immediately eliminate apps that fall below a certain threshold, usually being less than 8/10. From there we begin comparing the remaining apps/services on sites like TrustRadius to get a feel of what will fit us best.
The biggest challenge is the number of similar apps and services that are available today. Simply looking on Google reveals only a the biggest players who can afford the SEO costs so their services float to the top. In TrustRadius when I search for an app category I get dozens or hundreds of results, many of which can be at or above the 8/10+ threshold we use. The huge amount of results means we have more solutions to cull then vet.
