Overall Satisfaction with TrustRadius for Buyers

I use TrustRadius regularly for all types of tech purchases both for my business and for the clients I consult with. From social management tools, to NAS software to accounting platforms, TrustRadius covers the gauntlet of pretty much any tech service/software need I might be trying to fill.
  • Diversity of services and products covered
  • Number of qualified reviews of services
  • Comprehensive array of products within specific categories
  • Website ease of use
  • Hardware reviews could be interesting. I know Amazon has a lock on that to an extent, but another voice here could be useful.
For the most part vendors were up front about pricing, but on occasion additional research was needed. At times Facebook user groups provided supplemental pricing data, or networking via more broad social outreach.
TrustRadius was the first of all those websites that I've used, and I've stuck with it over the years. Some of the others either don't have the breadth of software that TrustRadius does, and others simply had a less pleasurable web experience that drove me away.
I think a 7/8 puts software into the "Good" range, and from there the real work begins, because those missing 2-3 points are usually for lacking features or bad customer support - which leaves me asking, what features aren't there that I might need? I certainly always look more closely at the option with the highest rating, but I also know that many use cases are different, so what's the 10/10 for somebody else, might not be my client's 10/10.
Relying on written reviews when demos weren't available. That's really leaving a great deal in the hands of others.
I often recommend TrustRadius both to my clients as a way of backing up my guidance, as well as to other friends and clients who simply want to research options for whatever needs they may have. Given the vastness of the SAAS world, multitude of Mac/PC apps, and other web services, it's impossible for me to know everything (or for anybody to really…) to in those situations it's great to have TrustRadius out there as a destination to shed light on to various vendors' offerings.
