Overall Satisfaction with Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo)

We are using Turbonomic for optimizing our VMware environment to get better performance out of our infrastructure. It shows us how to distribute our VMs to our hosts to get the best and a balanced performance with optimized utilization of the hardware. So we have fewer performance issues in our environment.
  • Good overview and/or dashboards. So you can see the important details and items which can/should be optimzed very fast.
  • Automatic optimization and utilization of VMware Hosts/VMs in the virtual environment.
  • The graphical user interface could be more modern and dynamic. I think, there is a new version in development already.
  • You can monitor your Infrastructure by your self and dont have to ask expensive consultants for many hours. You can act before you have a performance issue.
Turbonomic is very good!
Turbonomic is a very good product. It is much more than a tool for monitoring and optimization for the VMware environment. Specifically, it can also have insights into the Cisco UCS world and can optimize that too! So it is not operating only on the VM level.
It's very good for discovering performance issues all over the whole infrastructure. It's more than just monitoring VMs from VMware vCenter. It's also about monitoring the UCS and network environment. So you can get a very good overview of the current landscape and the bottlenecks in there. It's a very useful tool!
