We use Turbonomic for one of our clients where we are managing around 37 ESXi hosts. Server built/decommission requests are frequent so we need a tool where we can share all such forecasting so that actual figures can be proposed to the customer. This is what we use Turbonomic for basically.
- Forecasting of available resources
- Resource balancing
- Graphical data
- On user interface
- Some time interfaces are very slow and multiple refreshes are required
- More option to build or decommission VM directly from the Turbonomic Console
- ROI in terms of great reporting customer requested many times
- Cost saving on hardware when a newly built request came in as we can forecast how far we can go with the setup we have
- No additional tool is required for some automation tasks we can perform using Turbonomic
Definitely yes Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo) has changed the way you manage virtual and cloud environments as many of the robust tasks are being taken care by Turbonomic so IT staff can be utilized for an upper-level productive approach which can speed up customer requests coming in.
