Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We switched to UKG in 2020 from a different HRIS provider. The scope of our project included streamlining all HR functions under one system (ie Benefits vendor management, invoicing) and improving our HR processes (Performance Management, Compensation Management, Open Enrollment, Associate Geofence Tracking, Recruitment, etc.). Prior to making the switch, we were paperless for two years so this was the natural best next step for our organization to upgrade our associate experience by providing a better self-service option for our associates and automating many of our HR processes.
  • Product Offering
  • Ease of Use
  • Long-term growth capacity
  • Customer Service
  • Reporting ease of use
  • Try not to do so much at once, it hampers the client and associate experience
  • Within the first month of implementing UKG, we realized a $20k+ overage we were inaccurately compensating associates from our prior system
  • Since implementing Benefits, we have identified a lot of cost savings from the company and associate standpoint due to associates enrolled in benefits they did not need, or benefits being inaccurately calculated due to the process being manual
  • Implementing UKG gave us the opportunity to take a step back and look at all of our processes and ask questions about why we were doing things a certain way. This alone has provided an opportunity to improve our HR operations and save money as a company
  • Management has expressed satisfaction with the improvement in processes that were done manually before (ie Salary Planning, Performance Management being done more often vs once a year, etc.).
  • Associates appear to be satisfied with the ability to update their information quickly on their own when they want to vs needing to contact HR to have us do it for them
We decided on UKG vs the companies listed above due to their commitment to customer service, having a focus on being a great place to work for their associates, and product offerings.

Do you think UKG Pro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with UKG Pro's feature set?

Yes

Did UKG Pro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of UKG Pro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy UKG Pro again?

Yes

There is a lot of functionality that we still have not been able to take advantage of due to getting our system up and running. Customer Service is a little strained at the moment due to the recent M&A's. I expect that things will get better in due time as we become more familiar with the system and customer service improves.
Benefits Administration
Improved/more Accurate Invoicing
Open Enrollment
Associate Communication
Salary Planning
There have been many improvements to the payroll process. Last year (2020), we lost our benefits and payroll administrator. If we did not have UKG, we would have struggled with trying to take on all of her responsibilities and divide them between our small team of three.
UKG is great for any company looking to take its HR department to the next level by streamlining processes and providing the ability to reduce human error. It would be difficult for a company to implement UKG without a dedicated project lead from the company that can focus a lot of time getting it up and running.
