Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use the core system as well as UTM (UKG Time Management) and Onboarding. We use it for onboarding, process hires, workflows, performance reviews, timekeeping, payroll, reporting, dashboarding as well as many other HR functions. We use it to help our processes in HR become more efficient and accurate.

Pros and Cons

Cognos Analytics provides live data reporting with 1000s of reportable fields.
The product is aesthetically pleasing allowing for users to learn more efficiently.
You can create processes either extremely high level or with more granularity, depending on company needs.

More fields in the onboarding BI package would be great.
Salary/Performance planning should be included in the base package in my opinion, not as an additional cost, this is a basic HR function everyone needs.
More consistency in support teams, we are constantly getting a new account manager and they have to re-learn our company needs, it gets exhausting.

Return on Investment

Cost and time savings for sure with reporting and being able to use the web import tool.
Being able to create custom fields has helped manage/track needs for our business.

Centralization

All HR functions can now be completed through UKG. Many processes that we used to do manually can now be done on the UKG web which allows for easier history tracking as well as less paper trail keeping things more secure than before.

UKG Personal Experience

Now with the web import tool, I can make mass changes much more quickly reducing time spent on tasks. Especially being able to change things like deduction issues, employee issues, custom field changes, and more.

Likelihood to Recommend

I enjoy the look and feel of UKG. UKG also does a good job with the R1/Spring and R2/Fall releases, usually they listen to customer needs and try to make updates based off of some of those needs. I don't like that not everyone has BackOffice, the web is still nowhere close to where it needs to be to have the same access and abilities as backoffice.
