Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it org wide for all facets [of] payroll, benefit enrollment, and performance management. We also use document acknowledgements. It's our system of record. We also use BI.

Pros and Cons

BI - reporting is robust.
Payroll processing - up to date with latest regulations and allows us to process payroll efficiently.
Benefit enrollment is easy for end users.

Giving was rolled out and the functionality is lacking. It's hard to report on and manage.
Unable to see benefit/deduction history.
Would like to be able to set time-out periods for different rolls rather than system wide.

Return on Investment

Increased EE engagement during COVID.
Time saving for benefit enrollment.

Alternatives Considered

I've only used UltiPro and Kronos for the last 16 years. That said, the customer service and self-service troubleshooting options for UKG Pro are far superior to Kronos.

Performance

The API connections for things like SSO are slow and somewhat out of date.

Usually quite good, but sometimes get someone who knows less about the product than I do. BI support is problematic- [last] time I submitted a ticket I was told it couldn't do what I wanted even though the report had been working previously without any kind of explanation as to why it stopped working or why it could no longer be done.

Exceptional Examples of UKG Pro Support

Any time we reach out to our CSM or ERM we get prompt replies and/or assistance.

Likelihood to Recommend

I'm a bit biased because I've used UltiPro for quite a while, as an admin, a consultant, and now as a manager. It works in most scenarios. However, the interface process can be very frustrating. If a company is quite small the system is probably more robust than what they need.
