Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
We are using it as the HRIS and payroll system company wide. We are using it for time off requests, time system management, benefits administration including open enrollment. We had separate systems prior to UltiPro. They were systems that didn't "talk" so there was a lot of manual data entry.
- I like that when someone goes through a life event and they add/change benefits, I don't have to give the information to the payroll administrator. It's all right there and flows to the payroll side of things.
- For the biweekly payroll, the accrual process is nice. Instead of accruing it monthly, we now accrue it per pay period.
- UltiPro is much more user friendly than our old systems. Plus employees only have one password to remember.
- The monthly accrual process doesn't work well. If someone takes a day off after we have run payroll, the system has trouble calculating the correct accrual rate. It's supposed to catch up at some point but in my experience I have to make a manual correction.
- It would be a wonderful upgrade if the employee's annual vacation accrual would populate so that they know exactly where they are when taking time off. We allow employees to go in the hole for vacation but are unable to stop employees from requesting too much through the system. I have to keep track of vacation on a spreadsheet to help people stay within their allotted hours.
- There are a lot of screens to fill in as far as dates go such as terminations. In my mind, if you are putting the termination date in Core then it should flow to all of the other items including benefits.
