General Review of UltiPro
Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
UltiPro is being used across the company for a variety of solutions. We are currently using it for centralized documents management and housing, which is extremely helpful given that we have 10 locations throughout the state of Texas and often need to share employee file information quickly and securely. We are also using the Employee and Manager Self Service functions to better automate employee management and payroll servicing. The Life Events and Open Enrollment modules have also been extremely helpful in coordinating benefits information sharing and enrollments efficiently.
Pros

Cons
- Updating the benefit deduction codes for carrier changes before open enrollment is tedious
- Performance management is not as fluid as past versions
- Allowing for more editable business process workflows (such as in the Add Employee request) would be helpful
Using UltiPro
The majority of the employees using UltiPro represent managers and supervisors, but approximately 1/3 of the employees are also involved in the financial, HR and Payroll functions of our organization.
This smaller group can all support users with basic access and usage questions, as well as password/account reset support when needed. A smaller portion of this group (2 individuals) support system management. The System Management support staff are better versed regarding how UltiPro works and is configured.

- We have been to use the UltiPro dashboard to embed links to other employee training and information sharing areas and items that would have required a great deal of time and manpower to accomplish otherwise.

UltiPro is a very secure environment. We are very sensitive to information management being in the healthcare industry, so the security precautions that UltiPro has built into its systems is a great comfort to us. We have been able to save some costs in reducing the amount of paper processing that we physically do.

Yes - Sage. We had outgrown our prior software. Our employee numbers had grown too big and the reporting functions could not produce the data that we needed.

Our decision making team was able to speak with other UltiPro customers during the sales experience, and their recommendations and frank conversations were extremely helpful to us.
We would ask more questions about the other partnership areas, such as performance management and online learning.
UltiPro Implementation
No - We didn't have phases. We set up and implemented in a couple of months with the help of Laurus.
Not sure - We need better communication tools to prepare users for the new software. This slowed our implementation process initially.

No - We are satisfied with the support that we receive. It fits our needs.
Yes - Yes it was. We received regular updates via email that helped us to stay up-to-date about the problem and resolution.
Our first year of open enrollment after the implementation of PPACA was very eventful. On more than one occasion that year, support staff were on the phone with me after hours providing solutions and one-to-one assistance to help me meet my deadlines. Very often, the initial response that I received came within minutes after opening a support case.

- Submitting PTO requests is very easy and has become easier in the mobile app.
- Record creation in UltiPro is easy and straight forward.
