Overall Satisfaction with UKG Pro

We use UltiPro across the organization. One of the biggest benefits of UltiPro is the intuitive Employee and Manager Self-Service functions. Employees are able to update and maintain their own data without having to contact HR or get approval. Managers are able to make job and compensation changes as well as department transfers on their own. This puts the responsibility and the authority in the hands of the owner. It has reduced a great deal of paper and work required by HR.
  • Ease of use - with managers and employees entering their own information , this is critical
  • Training - UKG provides free training, forever. Critical as new HR employees come on board
  • Robust - UltiPro provides every function that we need in HR to do our job and allow employees and managers to do their job.
  • Self-Service - This was the most impactful change to our organization with employees and managers
  • There are some screens that are required to appear during workflow approvals. It would be nice if instead of telling managers to ignore them, we are allowed to remove them from the flow.
  • UltiPro provided an ROI in 18 Mos. With the reduction in paper, elimination of work in HR and the ability for managers and employees to view and update their own data, the use and engagement from the workforce has increased tremendously.
UKG is more focused on HR than others which means the R&D is better spent for HR Professionals.

Very intuitive and robust functionality
All HR work is now centralized with Shared Services, payroll and benefits all under one group. Employee and manager self service increases the usability for employees, managers and HR. Elimination of paper and employee and manager data maintenance allows for a streamlined, central organization in HR supporting everyone.
Payroll runs well, is easy to learn and the payroll services are excellent. The benefits module is easy to use. We have a very high turnover industry and so setting up life events easily is important. Employee and manager self-service was a game changer for us.

UKG Pro Training

I took the 'core' bootcamp which gave me a great foundation. The free for life training has been a great tool for new employees and for employees moving to new HR functions. It was one of the reasons we selected Ultimate (UKG). It is important to our long term model of cross-training and promoting from within.

It is good but I prefer either onsite when trying to focus.
Very good onsite training. It is free and so we only have to pay for travel.

UKG Pro Implementation

I can't say enough about our Ultimate implementation team. Always concerned about our success and were willing to be flexible and offered a great deal of proactive questions to help us avoid issues. It was a great way to start a long partnership.
Change management was a minor issue with the implementation - With communication and a helpful Shared Services it was an easy and uneventful implementation.

Configuring UKG Pro

It is just right. There are a enough user defined fields and configurable fields and workflow to satisfy all of our needs.
Just use the configurable fields and workflows. It will keep the upgrades and updates easy.

Slow Initial Response
No. The support we receive is fine. Having to purchase support is a HUGE negative and would have most likely changed our decision to go with Ultimate (UKG) if required to get adequate support.
During our implementation, our payroll manager left the business. It was extremely disruptive to our project. The UltiPro implementation team went out of their way to assist us in mitigating the situation and exceeded our expectations in everyway. It was the best experience I've had with a vendor. We no longer view UKG as a vendor but as a partner.

UKG Pro Reliability

We are able to scale as we grow within our current footprint and as we expand to new states. We never have to worry about the product being in compliance with a new state or municipality and will receive proactive inquiries to help us out as we grow.
I get a lot of notices of outages but rarely do those impact us. The application is up more than 99% of the time.
UltiPro performs well. Reports run quickly and autogenerated reports are dependable and can be automatically sent to a defined list of employees or management. Integrations are easy to setup and are dependable. Overall, the system runs as expected and is easy to navigate. Since implementing UltiPro the HR department is viewed as a partner versus an administrative necessity.

Relationship with UKG

Great relationship building, not just a sales person.
Our executive relationship manager and account manager are why we love UKG. I'm really hoping this does not change.
I have a great partnership with our ERM and AM. It is what has developed this relationship into a partnership instead of just a vendor/ customer relationship. Very important to us.
