Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends MSP
We resell managed backup services to customers and I use the free version at home with my home family servers.
- Compression and deduplication.
- Retention policies.
- Command line access.
- License fee is ridiculous now.
- More frequent backups over taxes the system.
- Restore interface could be easier to understand.
- In the beginning it had a good ROI.
- Now the cost is prohibitive and no one wants it so we have had to find an alternative.
Day to day use I like Unitrends better than Veeam and many others I have tried, but the one that is starting to pull ahead for me is Axcient. Axcient is a great product at a great price. I have been testing many alternatives to replace Unitrends over the past year and Axcient is the only one that stacks up so far.
