Overall Satisfaction with Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance

We use Unitrends primarily for Disaster Recovery and Archival.
  • Data deduplication.
  • Most systems are able to be backed up using Native APIs.
  • Replication has been greatly improved, but needs a little more work.
  • Replication speed
  • Error reporting needs improvement, reasons for missed backups or incomplete backups are hard to understand with no indication of corrective activity needed.
  • Unitrends adds another layer of protection to our already redundant systems to allow more piece of mind.
More bang for the buck.
Value for the money is good. Reliance on the system to do its job properly is improving.

The system does a lot now but appears to still be in its infancy. It can and will get really better as opposed to other systems that are near their peak of development.
