Overall Satisfaction with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
In our School District, we have about 160 Staff Members with O365 Accounts. We use Veeam M365 Backup for all our staff.
- Accidental Email Deletion Restore
- Accidental File Deletion Restore
- The different price ranges for students vs Staff. We only back up staff due to cost. If there was a different user type (maybe manual, or 1-day backup, etc) for our no essential users.
- Knock on wood we have not had any "crisis" scenarios. However, we feel we are ready if it does arise.
We moved to O365 for our user accounts 3 years ago from local storage. At that time we were using tape backup for our user's local storage locations. When we went to the cloud for our accounts we wanted a solution that was easy to use to continue our backups in our district.
We have had about 6-10 incidents in the last couple years where users have misplaced or deleted informaton. I was able to recover within minutes the data they needed. We have been very lucky not to have any attacks but feel confident we are prepared.
For the issues, we have had we restored back to the original location. However, occasionally I will restore to a separate .zip file to see what we are restoring. It works great.
