It just does everything you need it to!

We use Veeam Backup for Office 365 across our whole organization, supporting multiple different businesses all over the world. It's easy to use and is a single pane of glass that meets all of our business requirements. We are able to restore data simply and easily, at any time we need to without having to worry about any overheads once it's in place.

Microsoft tools don't have an automated/OOB backup solution so we needed an alternative because users are always prone to delete their own data. It also helps if a user intentionally deletes any data if they have something to hide then you can simply go back to an old backup and see that there has been data deleted so it works well from an HR point of view too.

We have benefited from this feature when one of our accounts was compromised via a phishing attack. The hacker had managed to gain access to the user's mailbox and was deleting emails when they were pretending to spoof one of our users. As they weren't deleting the emails right away we were able to restore the emails that were being deleted from the hacker once they had been initially backed up.

It makes things easier and saves on storage when you can restore a file to its original location as you don't have to save it to the local server first, and then copy + paste to the original location, as well as not having to find the location too, so it saves a lot of time. It's also handy being able to restore directly to a .pst file too, particularly when we've had users who need access to a leavers mailbox, (and now doesn't exist in Office 365) so it's handy for retention purposes.
